DL vs MDL vs SMDL vs Admin: which panel do you actually need?
Start with an MDL if you are running agents, a DL if you are taking bets yourself, and an Admin panel only if you are building a brand that other masters will sit under. The difference is scope of control, not software quality.
Side-by-side
| DL | MDL | SMDL | Admin | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creates users | Players only | DL agents | MDLs | Everyone |
| Sets share % | No | Within its DLs | Within its MDLs | Everything |
| Sees wallet | Own line | Own + DLs | Own + MDLs | Whole tree |
| Handles payouts | Requests | Approves DL | Approves MDL | Final |
| Typical user | Solo agent | Agent network | Regional op | Platform owner |
The mistake almost everyone makes
First-time buyers ask for an Admin panel because it sounds like the top. Then they discover the admin panel is mostly empty until masters exist underneath it — and they have paid for a tree with no branches.
If you have three agents today, buy an MDL. Grow into the SMDL. Buy the Admin build when you have masters waiting.
Can you upgrade later?
Yes, and it is cheaper than rebuying. The database carries the users and the history; the tier is a permission layer and a set of screens. Ask for the upgrade path in writing before you pay for the first build — any serious provider will have one.
What never changes between tiers
The deposit flow, the withdrawal queue and the audit trail should be identical on every tier. If a provider quotes you a cheaper DL with a different payment flow, that is a different, older product — and the mismatch is where money goes missing.
How money actually moves between tiers
Points enter at the top and flow down. You buy points from the operator at your share; your MDL buys from you at theirs; the DL sells to players. Each level keeps the difference between what it paid and what it charged — that difference is the business, and the panel's job is to record it without ambiguity.
The failure mode is not the software. It is an operator who cannot say, at 11pm on a settlement day, exactly how many points are sitting at each level. That is the screen to check first on any demo.
A real upgrade path
| You have | Next tier | Trigger |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 DLs | MDL | You are spending more than an hour a day moving points by hand |
| 4–10 DLs across two areas | SMDL | You need a second layer between you and the agents |
| Masters waiting to onboard | Admin | Someone else wants to sell panels under your brand |
What to ask on a demo, in order
- Show me the tree with three levels expanded.
- Freeze a DL and tell me what its players see.
- Show the audit log for the last five approvals.
- Change one rate and show me where it is recorded.
Questions people actually ask
Which tier is best for a beginner?
An MDL. It lets you run a handful of agents without paying for the whole platform.
Can a DL see other DLs?
No. A DL sees only its own players; lateral visibility exists only at MDL and above.
Do I need an SMDL to have masters?
No. An SMDL manages masters; an MDL manages DL agents directly. Choose by who you actually recruit.
