How to buy a panel ID without getting burned
You buy a panel ID in five steps: pick the tier, get the rate card in writing, pay a 50% deposit, test the deposit and withdrawal flow yourself, then take handover with the code. The whole thing should take under 10 days.
The five steps
| Step | What you do | What you must receive |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Tier | Decide DL / MDL / SMDL / Admin | A written scope of screens |
| 2. Rate | Ask for the rate card and the share split | Rates in writing, not voice notes |
| 3. Deposit | Pay 50%, never 100% | A dated start and a staging date |
| 4. Test | Do a real ₹100 deposit and one withdrawal | Both reflected in the panel, same hour |
| 5. Handover | Take the code, the domain and a backup | Credentials in your name, not theirs |
The questions that separate a provider from a reseller
- Who owns the domain and hosting account? (You do.)
- Show me the audit log for a deposit approval.
- What happens to my users if I stop paying you?
- Can I see a live build, not a demo video?
- Who do I call at 2am when deposits stop landing?
Three red flags
A provider who quotes a price without asking what tier you need is selling a template. A provider who will not show a staging link before the balance is a provider you cannot audit. And a provider who insists the domain stays in their name is not selling you a business — they are renting you one.
None of those are about price. A ₹1.5L build from someone honest beats a ₹80k build from someone who disappears.
What to test on day one
Deposit ₹100 with a UTR you have used before elsewhere — a good panel blocks the duplicate. Submit a withdrawal and watch it appear in the queue with a timestamp. Then ask the provider to change one rate and check that the audit log records who did it.
If all three behave, you have a real platform. If any one fails, stop and ask why before the balance is due.
The day-one message to send a provider
Send this and you will filter out three-quarters of them in one reply: "I need [tier], [N] agents, UPI deposits with duplicate-UTR blocking, a withdrawal queue with a per-panel limit, on my domain, code handed over at handover. What is the price, the staging date and the handover date?"
A serious provider answers all three numbers in the first message. Everybody else answers with a brochure.
The four contract lines to insist on
- Source code and database handed over, dated.
- Domain and hosting accounts in your name from day one.
- A staging link before the balance is due.
- A written export format so you can leave with your data.
What to do in the first hour after handover
- Change every password, including the database and the admin panel.
- Take a full backup and restore it on a second machine once.
- Set your own rate card and test one deposit and one withdrawal yourself.
- Add a second admin login for the person who will cover your night shift.
Questions people actually ask
How much should I pay upfront?
50%. Enough for the provider to schedule the work, not enough to lose sleep over.
Should I buy on a call?
Buy after you have seen the staging link, not after a video call. A demo is not a build.
Can I start with a rented ID instead?
Yes, and it is a reasonable way to learn the flow — but you never own the customers or the brand.
